The 6th Annual Big Blue Ball taking place October 28th, 2017 at the Coast Inn of the North will build on past years’ success in kicking off Movember and raising funds for Men’s Health, Prostate Cancer programs and Rotary Community projects in Northern BC.

For years, the Rotary Club of Prince George has held an annual auction which has transformed in to this successful event and already raised over $200,000 to address men’s health issues and spark the conversation around primary care in Northern BC alongside many worthwhile initiatives and committed partners. The Club has made men’s health a priority through their community Men’s Health Initiative, which includes Men’s Health days that have already had over 200 men in attendance. In addition, the Club operates the successful Prince George Prostate Cancer Support Group, which is now including outreach efforts with the Canadian Cancer Society and the Kordyban Lodge. These efforts aim to increase awareness of prostate cancer and other pertinent issues relating to men’s health, and offer support to those already suffering from these issues.

This year we welcome the 7-piece ensemble Pink Champagne to keep us dancing into the night, and the Coast Inn of the North in partnership with CNC will be serving up an exciting “man-sized” roaming dinner, with craft beer and wine pairings. With live and silent auctions, more networking opportunities, and of course the ability to strut your best denim-formal wear, this should be another night to remember for a great cause!

The Rotary Club of Prince George has entered its 76th year in Prince George, and meets weekly at the Coast Inn of the North. Rotarians believe in “Service Above Self”, evident in the projects it has contributed to throughout its existence. Find out more about our Club and Rotary International by clicking here.
